All of a sudden another Sandy Collora film pops up faster than a speeding bullet. Who knew?

It seems mock trailers are a popular thing for superhero fan films lately. Collora chooses to start out with the iconic route with Superman—safe and reliable. Really, how many times in my life do I need to see Clark Kent pull open his shirt? But soon things get darker. Oh, and Batman shows up.

I liked the idea of a Superman-Batman-Lois love triangle. I loved Two-Face's low-key introduction. And darned if it wasn't a nifty logo.

But for all that there is something missing here. The trailer feels like some real-life trailers unfortunately do: a lot of nifty shots of stuff people want to see, but lacking in substance. I almost get the sense Collora really wanted to shoot Superman flying around and Batman swinging on a rope without the burden of a story to think about, and this trailer shows me nothing that would get me particularly excited for an actual Superman-Batman adventure.

Perhaps it's time for Collora to put his clearly-evident filmmaking experience and skills to use on something without superheroes. By this point Warner Bros. presumably is aware of his existence; I don't see what further he needs to accomplish with fan films.

As for this little flick, it's worth a watch, but just once.
